All leadership positions are on a volunteer basis. MOGNation LLC reserves the right to offer compensation when and/or if deemed applicable.
Director of Media Operations: Oversees the day to day operations of the MOG Nation media website. Responsible for design changes on the site. Works with entire podcast/video/stream staff on media initiatives. Coordinates interview requests with the PR Officer. Provides direction to the PR Officer on current initiatives. Works with Editor-in-Chief on site content and providing direction for the writing staff. Provides direction to the PR Officer on current initiatives. Maintains communication with Director of Creative Development on current and future projects.
Director of Creative Development: Acts as the lead consultant for MOG Nation Stream Channel and media projects. Initiates planning stages of innovative ideas to improve the production value of the media side of MOG Nation as a whole. Works with and maintains communication with Director of Operations and the Director of Community Relations on current and future projects.
Editor-in-Chief: Responsible for the writing staff on the MOG Nation media website. Provides direction to all writers and Jr. Editors. Reports to Director of Operations.
Public Relations Officer: Responsible for advertising site content via social media channels. Maintains correspondence with developers via Studio Leads. Provides direction to all other members of the PR team. Reports to Director of Operations and Director of Creative Development.
Podcast Team Lead: Responsible for assisting new podcasters in the creation of their shows and assuring quality standards are met after the show is approved. Maintains communication with Director of Creative Development about current shows. Reports the Director of Media Operations.
Video Team Lead: Point of contact for video intros and compilations. Also responsible for posting video on the public site with the direction of the Director of Operations or Editor in Chief where applicable. Reports to Director of Creative Development.
Stream Team Lead: Responsible for assisting streamers with matters related to any MOG Nation streaming channels. Including scheduling, setup and channel access. Reports to Director of Media Operations.
Stream Team: Streamers on MOG Nation stream channel responsible for programming. Reports to Stream Team Lead.
Jr. Editor: Responsible for assisting the Editor in Chief by reviewing/editing articles and publishing content. Reports to Editor in Chief.
Writers: Responsible for creating written content for the website. Reports to Editor-in-Chief.
Broadcasters: Responsible for creating audio content for the website. Reports to Podcast Team Lead.
Public Relations Team: Responsible for PR initiatives as given by the PR Officer. Reports to PR Officer.
Director of Community Operations: Responsible for overall support and direction of the MOG Nation Community. Meets with the Community Support Staff as needed for updates on issues and the needs of the community. Updates and regularly consolidates efforts with Director of Media Division. Acts in an official capacity for the MOG Nation to media sources on an as needed basis.
Community Support Staff: Acts as the conduit between the community and leadership. Checks in regularly with Guild Leaders to discuss issues facing the MOG Nation community and guild health. Responsible for scheduling and moderating monthly Council Meetings. Spends an adequate amount of time in the MOG Nation VOIP and on forums to stay engaged with the community and assess its needs. Makes decisions on community matters as required. Reports directly to Director of Community Operations.
MOG Nation Council: Council Members are comprised of all MOG Nation Guild Leaders. In addition to their guild management responsibilities, Council members must make every effort to attend monthly Council meetings. The purpose of the meeting is provide our guild leaders with a means of collaboration with other guild leaders, sharing best practices and obtaining assistance from their peers or community support staff. The meetings also provide a means of disseminating information regarding community or individual guild events. Council Members report to Community Support Staff as needed.
Event Coordinator: Creates, schedules and coordinates community events across various games and/or across the community as a whole. May recruit assistance from community members as needed. Works with Guild Leaders as needed to create, plan and facilitate game-specific events. The Events Coordinator reports directly to the Community Support Staff.
Recruitment Officer: Responsible for using social media outlets to advertise and recruit for the MOG Nation Community. Duties include visiting game forums to post and bump recruitment posts, Twitter, and other gaming sources to inform the gaming community about membership opportunities at MOG Nation. Works directly with guild recruitment officers and reports to Community Support Staff or Director of Community Operations.
Newsletter Editor: Designs and creates a monthly MOG Nation Community newsletter. Newsletters should include recent happenings in the community, new game chapters, new additions to The Game Room, charity support, game events, community submitted articles, advertisements, etc. Each newsletter should be posted on both the Community and Public websites. Reports to Director of Community Operations.
Mumble Administrator: Responsible for the official MOG Nation Voice-Over-IP and assigned profile permissions needed to facilitate the position. Monitors channels as available and assesses the needs of the user community. Creates/Deletes channels as needed, handles VOIP and Code of Conduct violations and escalates issues to leadership as needed. Assures channels are being used properly by members. Reports directly to Community Support Staff.
Forum Moderator: Monitors forums for appropriate behavior and handles/reports Code of Conduct violations as required. Starts and contributes to threads to initiate conversation and activity on all forum and chat room media within the MOG Nation and affiliated guild websites. Reports to Community Support Staff.
Communication in MOG Nation will work as follows:
The following is intended to promote effective communication within MOG Nation. Our goal is to create a natural flow of applicable information to our staff and members at large to improve the overall operation. Simply, we want members at all levels to be informed. We fully understand that regardless of effort, some information will not be delivered due to members choosing to not be engaged with the community.
NOTE: Not all information is appropriate to be communicated to all members. For example, matters of disciplinary action, leadership issues and the like should remain private and good judgment should be exercised from involved parties.
· Leadership Staff as a whole: Members of staff are responsible for the dissemination of information to any staff or members under their charge. This is to include changes in policy, event announcements, changes in leadership and other applicable information pursuant to the effective operation of the involved realm of responsibility.
· Guild Leaders: Guild Leaders are responsible for the dissemination of information to their respective guild officers and all members of their guild. This is to include changes in policy, event announcements, changes in leadership and other applicable information pursuant to the effective operation of the guild. At a minimum, the only required means of communication will be the guild’s forums. Additional means of communication are encouraged and use of such additional means is solely decided upon by the Guild Leader.
· Community Support Staff: Community Support Staff is responsible for the dissemination of information to the community at large. This is to include changes in policy, event announcements, changes in leadership, critical information and other applicable information pursuant to the effective operation of the community at large. Community Support Staff will make every effort to use multiple means of communication to deliver information to the members at large and these means include at a minimum, official guild forums. Additional means of communication may be private messages, emails, newsletter, etc.
· Communication between staff: Communication between staff members should be frequent enough to allow for the effective operation of administrative duties.
Council Meetings: Meetings of the MOG Nation Council will occur once per month at the direction of Community Support Staff. Additional meetings may be required and agreed upon by the Community Support Staff and the Council members.
Formation of Committees: Committees may be formed at the request of the MOGNation LLC or the MOG Nation Council to assist in special projects.
Matters of Misconduct: MOG Nation Leadership should make every effort to handle issues of misconduct to preserve a safe gaming environment for our members. If any member of leadership or staff does not feel comfortable handling a matter of misconduct, the issue should be escalated to the next highest level of leadership.
Toxic Behavior: Toxicity in the community can take many forms. This behavior is sometimes difficult to identify and define, yet over time, its effects can be detrimental to the health of the community. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but repeated toxic behavior should be addressed as soon as possible to preserve a safe gaming environment for our members. All members are asked to assist with the prevention and reporting of toxic behavior within the community.
